Outlook 2003 password changes

Has anyone got an answer to the problem of your Outlook 2003 POP3 password
being forgotten when your NT Domain password changes?

For the POP3 server in the same domain? It's not forgotten it simply asks
you to update the password as the stored one is still the old one.

Hello,
Our POP3 server is Communigate Pro running on an XServ (Macintosh) therefore
it does not participate in any NT domain. The problem only seems to affect
XPSP2 machines.
