I have a problem. When I imported my e-mail from my old
laptop to my new laptop (using Outlook on Both) the new
outlook hace 2 extra "Personal Folders" that are
duplicates of all my mail. I cannot see how to remove them
without removing the main personal folders I want to keep.

Is there a way to remove these 2 duplicates of my mail.

Any new messages I get are also added to these 2 extra
personal folders (each contain inbox, sent, etc)

I am travelling so if you have an answer, please will you
kindly send to

(e-mail address removed)

many thanks

Paul

The easiest way to deal with the "ghosts" problem is to create a new mail
profile from scratch and delete the old mail profile. You can do this from
Control Panel | Mail | Show Profiles.

I just did this and things work well:
OL2002: Cannot Delete Duplicate Personal Folder

SYMPTOMS
If you open a second copy of your primary personal folder
(.pst) file, you cannot close it. The menu command is
unavailable.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, remove the duplicate copy
of the .pst file from your Mail profile:

Close Outlook.
Start Control Panel, and then double-click Mail.
Click Show Profiles, click your profile, and then click
Properties.
Click Data Files.
Click the duplicate personal folder, click Remove, click
Yes, click Close, click Close again, and then click OK.
Start Outlook. The duplicate personal folder should not
be present.
