Outlook 2003 offline synchronization error

hi,

whenm I enable offline viewing in an Outlook 2003 client
on an XP laptop on a single domain using exchange server
2003...I get an error when trying to synch the online
folders that are downloaded to the local machine. Cached
mode is disabled, but the error I get after new mails are
delivered is:

Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server' reported error
(0x80040107): 'Could not open the item. Try again.'

I have tried so many diff combinations off setting, and
tried removing and re-adding the exchange server account
on the client machine's outlook.
Other machines offline viewing on same domain are fine.

Any help much appreciaed, s cannot find this problem on
google or MS's support pages

Have you tried enabling cached mode instead?

have tried cached mode,but tht doesn't work. any other
ideas,maybe on the exchange server side?
