When I open outlook, I get a message "there was a problem
reading one or more of your reminders. Some may not
appear. Connot locate recurrance information for this
appointment." I click, Outlook opens. Then the following
message occurs at the taskbar: Microsoft Office operation
failed. I click to close that window, and Outlook seems
to function ok.

In an attempt to correct this condition, I deleted all
task and appointment info. When I restart, I get the same
message.

I am not networked, though I sync with a Palm 505
through "Desk Top To Go"

I recently updated from MO 2000. The first couple of
weeks after install were trouble-free.

Appreciate any assistance to resolve this.

Try starting Outlook one time with the /cleanreminders switch.

Start->run->outlook.exe /cleanreminders (notice the space after the .exe)

Tried this. Problem (if it is a problem as it does not
appear to affect/effect outlook functions) still exists.
