Outlook 2003 - nothing appears in message field

I have one user that when he opens emails the email message is not visible
until he hits Select All and all the text becomes highlighted. Running Office
2003 and on Service pack 3. Issue has been ongoing for a couple months now -
even prior to SP3 install. Is this a known issue in Outlook and is there a
resolution to the issue
 
Check under Tools >options> message format for the default font colour. Make
sure it is not set to the background colour.
 
The settings are the same as all others on the network. The issue does not
occur on every email he gets - but the issue has been getting more frequent
as time passes. All other applications work as expected
 
Look at his Encoding setting. In the blank text message, select View,
Encoding and change it to a different encoding to see if the message shows
up.
 
Encoding setting Western European (Iso). I have tried a few others as well
and the results are the same. The particular email I am using to test is
blank in the message filed with the exception of 1 line in the file signature
of the sender that shows the senders website. The actual website address is
the only thing showing in the email - just an aside in case that helps to
troubleshoot
