I have several pop3 accounts set up in Outlook 2003. When I try to send a
message using a different account from the default it sends the message from
the default account anyway. This is MOST frustrating. I notive other people
having the same problem but have not yet seen an answer that fixes the
problem???

The problem that at least some of the other people had was that the account
on which they were trying to send was not properly authenticating to its
outgoing server (set this up on the "Outgoing server" tab for the account).
As a result, the server rejects the recipients of the message, and when
that happens, Outlook tries to deliver the message on other accounts.
Setting up authentication should fix this for you.

I have a similar problem, but My accounts are authenticated...I think? I can
send and receive mail from each. But, when I select an account to send it
from....alot of times it sends it from the other account. I dont wantt o send
out mail from my business account and have it inadvertantly send ot from my
home account. This is very frustrating!

I have done these things to no avail....it still does it randomly?
1) My business account is the default account
2) I set up my home account to not send & receive....but it does?

Please respond. Thanks!

What version of Outlook do you have? Go to the "Outgoing server" tab for
each of your accounts and make sure that they are set to authenticate to
the outgoing server.

Outlook 2003 (11.6359.6408)

I had it checked already, but I logged into the account now with username
and password and it seems to work properly. Thanks!
