outlook 2003 - multiple windows

I may be mistaken, but i think in previous version of outlook i could open
multiple instances of outlook so i could hope between my inbox and contacts,
etc. Is this still doable - is there an alternative way under 2003?

Sure. Right-click the folder you want to open and choose Open in New Window.
