Is it possible to run two instances of outlook 2003 but with each instance
running a different PST file?

What I want to have is different PST files for my Buisness and
Private/Family?

I know I could keep switching, but iI would rather be able to have them both
open at the same time....!

Regards and thanks in advance.

You could open the PST data file in one profile and create a rule that any
emails address to (e-mail address removed) goes to that folder ..

and go tools > email accounts > add new email and put the second one in ..
now when you create a new email you'll see an account button which you can
select which account to send from ..

that's the best I can think of .. don't know if anyone has anything better
... since you don't want to use multiple profiles.

I do that already with my personal and business accounts.

What I am looking to do is to keep them seperate and not have to keep
changing between profiles...
Is it possible to install Outlook on 2 different drives for example, and use
each one with a different PST file?

Thanks in advance again.......

My first suggestion is just that not switching between profiles..

create your first email account and data file ... set it all up.

once that's done goto file > new > outlook data file

then add a second email to the accounts list .. and create a rule that all
emails addressed to the second email goto the new PST folder. whala .. two
pst's one outlook.

No, it's not possible.

Do you use Windows XP? If you aren't logging into a domain, you can use Fast
User Switching and have two windows profiles - each profile can keep a
different outlook profile open. It's not much faster than closing and
reopening outlook though.

You could use rules to move messages to folders (or different pst's) and
Outlook will reply on the account they arrived on - you'll only need to
remember to change accounts when sending new messages.
