Hi,
This problem first occurred two days ago.
I attempted to open an email I had previously sent which had an atatchment.
The dreaded hourglass icon apperead then after a minute or so, Outlook 2003
stopped responding.
I ran scanpst and there were some inconsistanceies so I opted to fix the
them.
Ran Outlook again, same problem. Ran the archive function. Same problem.
Exported a load of mails, then deleted them (completely, also from the
deleted items folder). Same problem.
The pst file is now just under 1.0GB. I can't open the archive file either
(which is 1.8GB).
I have also tried detact & repair, which did not fix the problem.
I can't open any email with an atachment. I'm running windows XP Pro so
when Outlook stops responding, I do Ctrl Alt Delete and there are two
instances of Outlook shown in the Application window as not responding.
Switching to process on one takes me to Outlook.exe in the Process window.
The same on the other takes me to Explorer.
Any help would be appreciated.
