Outlook 2003: Internet Mail

I am trying to set up an IMAP folder in Outlook and I
cannot send/receive mail, nor can I download existing
folders and messages. I keep receiving an error message
that says internet mail not registered properly. I found
a knowledge base document that listed the problem, but
didn't have any solutions. It mainly said Microsoft
knows about it. Is anyone else having this problem, and
is there anything I can do?

Have you perhaps uninstalled Outlook Express? Outlook needs a component
that comes with Outlook Express in order to do Internet mail.
 
Seeing as I have acquired the same problem as Mr. Pickering, can you be more specific? I uninstalled Outlook Express and ran Outlook 2003 for a 2 months (rebooting a few times a week) before I started to have the problem. Is the solution to just re-install Outlook Express
