We changed from Outlook 2000 to 2003. In 2000 there was
an option to "Insert File as Shortcut". In 2003, the
option is to "Insert File as Hyperlink" but it's not
working. We used this option for sending e-mails via
intranet. Any suggestions?

You don't say what you mean by "it's not working", or I might be able to
help you troubleshoot the problem. Instead, you can type in the hyperlink
manually, like this:

file://\\servername\sharename\foldername\filename.txt

If there are any spaces in the path -- for instance, if you're linking to a
file in the Program Files folder -- you'd need to enclose the entire path in
angle brackets, like this:

<path to file>

Or, you could use the Insert | Hyperlink command. If you're using Outlook
as your e-mail editor, choose the file: option in the Type dropdown box,
then type the file path after what it puts in the URL box. It's even easier
if you're using Word as your e-mail editor; in the Insert Hyperlink dialog,
just browse to the file. You might have to change drive letters, like C:\\,
to actual server/share paths, like \\servername\sharename, in the link if
you use this method.
