Then I would try uninstalling SpamBayes.

Why do you assume that when you have an add-in installed and Outlook
suddenly stops working, that it is Outlook's fault??

By the way, I have it installed on 2 machines and there is no problem
sending/receiving mail.

So, my question is, when is SpamBayes going to fix THEIR problem?

Out of the 10 I currently have? Yes, only 2 since I am trialing it.

Milly,

While I might not agree in tone with SEF, I too find Outlook 2003 hangs
completely while it is checking for new mail. This is really infuriating
since there is no way to stop it and it can take a while to become
responsive again. Unlike SEF I don't have SpamBayes installed - I'm using
MS's spam filter (for better or worse) and Norton AV 2003. I didn't have
this trouble with Outlook 2000 (version I used before upgrade).

We're having the same issue here on 2 out of 10
machines. None of the machines are running SPAMBays or
any other comparable software. One of the machines was
rebuilt and immediately started having the problem.
We're thinking it may have something to do with a Windows
Update as it only started happening in the past 2-3
weeks, and we've been running o2k3 since the beta.
