outlook 2003 freezes when clicking on the paper clip to add an attachment when creating a new mail

Report says there is a winword error so I unchecked Word 2003 as mail editor
and outlook works fine.

Is this bug well known?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, Zazou asked:
