Outlook 2003 freezes for over a minute when message is over 100K

Has anybody experienced that? Is there anything I can do to boost the
performance, e.g. to add memory somewhere in settings? Please help.

disable email scanning and see if it helps - it usually does.

What type of account? What's your connection speed? Sending or receiving?
