I sometimes put items into my follow-up folder. Later I'm interested in
knowing what other folders that particular message is in.

Is there a way for me to detect that?

Thanks,

The last colum before the Flag column in the view should be In Folder. If
that's missing however you have a couple of options.

1. While in the For Follow Up Folder, you can change the view. Go to View,
Arrange By, Folder.

2. Or you can add the Folder field to the Arrange By Flag view by choosing
View, Arrange By, Current View, Customize Current View. Click the Fields
button and find the In Folder field.
