Sometimes when I send emails with large attachments, it
usually sends it alright to the person intended, but it
doesn't leave the out box. If I don't stop it, it keep
on sending the same email over and over. In the end, I
end up saving the message in another folder to see if the
person got the email or not. One time I got distracted
and forgot I was sending a large email and came back to
find that the person got the same very large email 12
times before I stopped it.
Any help you can give me is appreciated.

Find out what your ISP's message size limit is - most POP accounts are 3MB
or 5MB or whatnot. Also find out what the recipient's limits are. Don't send
messages that exceed those limits. If you have large data to get to someone
else, find another method....ftp server, web server, whatnot.

Karen,
I am having a similar problem - sorry I don't have any answers for you. I
was hoping you might be able to help me. I sent an email with an attachment
that exceeds my attachment limit. Now outlook keeps trying to send the
message but it keeps coming up as an error but I can't delete it. Any
suggestions on how to get rid of the message all together?

That's just it...it's only 1.5M or less. Most of the
time they get the message, but it is in duplicate form
until I stop the message.
I'm just wondering why it doesn't shut off automatically
and disappear into the sent folder.

Loren,
I made a file that reads "Maybe sent". When the message
is stalling, I click "Stop send/receive" and then click
and drag the message into this folder. If I hear that
the person received it, then I delete the message, If I
don't hear from them, then I try to re-send it.

This is often a symptom of server timeouts that are too small. Increase
your server timeout value on the Advanced tab of your account properties
page.
