Both. I am selecting the addresses in the Select Names dialogue which
then
inserts them in the To: and Cc: rows at the bottom of the Select Names
dialogue.
Clicking on the OK button in the Select Names dialogue then puts the
addresses
into the To: and Cc: rows in the message window.
That part works fine.
The problem is that I can't add a new name or names to a list already
selected
addresses or add Cc: addresses if I have selected addresses in the To:
field in
a second operation. It all has to be done in a single Select Names
dialogue
prior to clicking on the OK button. Once that OK button has been clicked
on no
more addresses can be added
Is this normal?
Are you inserting these addresses in fields of the Select Names dialog or
the Message Window?

OK, I have Outlook 2003 and this has Mal, Contacts, Calendar and Tasks
sections.
While in Mail/inbox I select New, Reply, Reply to all or Forward to
send a
message. This opens up the message creation window with To:, Cc: and
Subject entry rows and the message section. The To: and Cc: have
address
books icons on their LHS. If I click on one of these, say the To:
address book
icon, a window opens up called Select Names and a box titled Outlook
Address
Book with a down arrow. Clicking on the down arrow opens up a window
with 2
selections - Outlook Address Book and Contacts. Clicking on Contacts
brings
up a list of all contacts. Names from the Contacts list can be
selected using the
shift or CTRL keys and left clicking on the names to give the needed
names.
After selecting the names I then click on the OK button and the names
appear in
the To: row.
If I now click on the Cc: address book and go through the same steps to
select names the selected names do not appear in the Cc: row. Nor can
I repeat
the exercise to add name(s) forgotten in the original To: selection
process.
I can get the To: and Cc: selections to take hold if I do all
selections in the
Contacts window BEFORE clicking on the OK button but not as an
afterthought.
Does this make sense?

Clarify what you mean by "I have a contacts book and no address book."
Post the steps you are using to add addresses in more understandable
detail.
I am using WinXP Professional and Office 2003 Professional each with
all current
service packs and updates installed except the current French
language update
installed.
I am seeing a minor problem with Outlook which is being used with an
ISP mail
server not Exchange. I am able to send and receive mail with or
without
attachments.
I have a contacts book and no address book. I can select names from
the
contacts book and add the selected names in either one of To: or Cc:.
Having
added names to say the To: I cannot then add any more names to the
list
in To: or insert new names in the Cc:.
All other features seem to work as they should.
Any ideas on what is the cause and how to fix it appreciated.
