Outlook 2003 e-mail problem

When composing an e-mail using word 11 as my editor, all of a sudden when I
want to insert a word or change a letter, after putting the curser where I
want to make the change, letters start deleting when I put in the correct
letter or word. I tried playing with spell check and other options to no
avail. I am sure it is something simple, but I could use some help.

Sounds like you have overstrike mode instead of insert mode selected. Press
your Insert key and try again.
