I just recently upgraded from Outlook 2002 to 2003. When I fire up
outlook now, it doesn't always ask me for my profile password. So now
if someone goes into outlook, they can view all my contacts, emails,
calendar. This was working fine in outlook 2002. If I reboot my pc,
and go into outlook, it will ask me for my password. But if I have my
pc up for a while, sometimes I am just able to click on outlook and go
right into my personal profile without having to enter a password. I
greatly appreciate any help you can give me!!

Thanks very much!

When you close Outlook, do you still have an instance of outlook.exe running
in the background? If yes, then this is the reason you don't have to input
your password since Outlook never really closed and released your old
instance.

This can happen for a number of reasons, most commonly due to a PDA that is
still docked or Winfax Pro. Some other common causes are Franklin Covey
Plan Plus! and other programs that hook into Outlook to run - they leave
Outlook running in the background and do not allow it to close completely.
