Hi,

I'm using outlook 2003, I'm getting e-mail from our
exchange server. When I try to create a rule, it gives
me an error message saying it cannot be created because
it's not supported or I don't have enough space. But
I've checked all the settings and everything, it looks
fine and nobody else is having this problem. I've
checked the settings on other people's computer and it's
the same as mine. Does anyone have this problem?

Thanks in advance.

You can only create a finite number of rules. If you already have a number
of rules, you might have reached your limit. Try deleting an existing rule
(but write it down so you can recreate it easily) and see if you can create
the new rule now.

That's my only rule, I don't have any other rules...
that's what I'm puzzling about. The first line of the
error if I can remember is it says something connecting
to the exchange server. Either it's not compatible or
it's not supported but I've created that same rule on
another machine with the same OS and same office version
and it's fine.

What is the rule you're trying to create?

Did you upgrade outlook? Do you still use another version to access the
mailbox from another machine? Outlook 2000 and Outlook 2003 rules are not
compatible and it causes problems.

Try using the cleanrules switch - close outlook and at start menu, run, type

outlook.exe /cleanrules

No, I didn't upgrade outlook, it's a fresh install of
Office 2003 and I'm not accessing my e-mail from another
computer nor using another version. I'm trying to create
a rule that if any e-mails coming in with the work spam
in the subject, move it to the junk folder, but it
doesn't seem like it's working for me.
