When I open / make an appointment or task, and try to adjust the time / date,
the 'menu' appears with either the calendar for the month, list of 30 minute
periods or whatever, but only as a flash. i.e. - as soon as I try to move
the cursor over it, it disappears! This has just started this afternoon, I've
never seen Outlook do this before, and I haven't just downloaded / installed
anything that could be guilty. I use Win XP Pro, with Firewall on, and AVG
Pro as my Anti-Virus. Just to worry me further, the Active Title Bar now
seems to be flashing intermittently!

Try creating a new mail profile.

After furious head-scratching, hamishdb asked this group:

Thanks Milly - I appreciate the quick answer, but I only have a Hotmail
account, so a) will your solution make a difference, and b) what exactly do
you mean?!

Sorry for being such an FNG about this...
