Outlook 2003 compresses .jpg files into zip?

Whenever I attach a picture, be it bmp, jpg or tif Outlook 2003 compresses it
into a zip file. How do I turn this off so that the file is sent normally.

Outlook doesn't do this. Are you using QuickView Plus? Or a Winzip addin?
 
Using QuickView Plus and when I disassociated it with windows explorer it
dropped outlook and outlook express. Now my attachments go through the way
they were intended to. Thank You, very much.

how do i find quick view plus and disassociate it with windows explorer. All
documents that I am sending through outlook are being zipped automatically.
 
do you have quick view installed? if so, open it and look at it's options.
if you don't have it installed something else is doing it.

I am having the same problem and cannot find the connection anywhere. I am
using Outlook 2002 and have just downloaded Winzip. winzip is zipping my jpg
files when I try to email them. Does anyone know where the option is to turn
off this "feature"?
