Outlook 2003 closes when I minimize

Whenever I hit the minimize button, Outlook closes and I
need to open it back up. I have installed the latest patch
and scanned for viruses, but no luck. Any suggestions? It
does not happen with any other MS software, or non-MS
software, just Outlook. Thanks.
 
click on the tray icon - it is set to minimize to tray?

Sorry to be so ignorant but I do not find that setting
anywhere. I checked Outlook help and it only gives me
instructions for XP, but I'm running 2000. I haven't
changed any settings, and it used to minimize without
closing. Thanks.

Ah, I found it! Too weird to explain, but it was an old
icon that had it set to "hide when minimized" which I
swear I never did! Thanks, Allyson
