Outlook 2003 closes when click minimize !!?

My Outlook 2003 closes when I click minimize the window from the upper right
hand corner of the window. How do I correct this?
 
Is the Outlook icon still present in the System Tray (area next to clock)?
The reason that I ask is that Outlook 2003 that some of dubbed Minimize To
Tray. When Outlook is open, just right click on the icon in the System Tray
and see if "Hide when minimized" has a check mark next to it.

No it doesn't close. It minimizes to the System tray instead of the Task
Bar. Right-click the Outlook icon in the System Tray and uncheck "Hide When
Minimized."
