Hello,

When Outlook 2003 is setup with a new profile and
Cached Mode is enabled, it copies the messages from oldest to newest.

If I have users with 1GB mailbox, that takes a long time in order to start
working.

Is there a workaround for this?

Thanks,

To where is it copying the messages? I just created a new profile on my
machine, added an Exchange account in cached mode, and started Outlook. No
copying occurred at all.

Well, the creation of the OST occurred, but that didn't interfere with
Outlook's operation.

When the .ost was being created, did it create the messages from oldest to
newest?
And you were able to retrieve your latest email messages while it was
occurring?

Yes, since my messages are on the Exchange server.
