Are there any known compatibility issues between Outlook 2003 and
Norton AntiVirus 2003?

I know of none.. I have Symantec Antivirus Corporate edition running on 50
clients with Outlook 2003, no issues..

Ok, thanks. Now suppose Outlook 2000 and NAV 2003 are installed and
then Outlook 2003 is installed "over" Outlook 2000. Will NAV's e-mail
checker continue to work with Outlook 2003 without having to reinstall
NAV?

Yes, I have done this also. Many of my clients were running O2K when SAV was
installed, and were subsequently upgraded to O2K3. I experienced no issues
with this, SAV continued to work no problem.

You could search the Symantec knowledge base, it is actually fairly useful

Thanks again. That sounds good. Actually, I've searched the Symantec
KB before and also turned to Symantec Support Germany but got no
satisfying answers from these sources.

Hi,

Norton Antivirus 2003/2003 and Norton Antivirus Corporate are different
products,
last doesn't have any pop3 antivirus scan capabilities but only file system
protection.
While Norton Antivirus 2003/2003 is fully Outlook compatible.

Perhaps your information is outdated.. I am running Symantec AV Corporate,
and it DOES include Outlook integration, including both Exchange and POP
functionality. Believe me - I'm using it!

UNLESS - maybe there's some difference in versions between yours and ours
(I'm in Canada)
