Alan C.

Hope this is the right forum. We have two users on this
computer with two outlook 2002. His and hers. I just
downloaded the personal folders backup add-in on mine but
when I tried to install it on hers the message came-up
that setup has detected that you already have a version
etc, etc. Went to the site and artical that addresses this
issue and found out that I have to uninstall one to get it
on the other. Is there a work around to this problem? I
need it on both Outlooks. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Addditonally, if I'm not pressing my luck, how do I know
what is backed-up in this pst folder. I can't open it to
see. I need to get all the contacts, but what else is
copied and how do I get to a CD?

All the backup-add in does is to copy a PST after Outlook closes. You can
do the same yourself. Just close Outlook and copy the PST anywhere you
wish, including to a CD. If you bring it back from a CD for restoration,
make sure you remove the read-only attribute before using it. And don't
import it. Use File>Open>Outlook Data File.
