outlook 2002 will not let me link to word 2000.

I have just bought a HP Ipaq rx3715 and it has installed Outlook 2002. I am
using Office 2000 products.

I now cannot use the Word link as it is greyed out, i.e. in Outlook
Tools/Options/Mail Format/ "Use Microsoft Word to edit email messages" will
not let me select it and so i can't get my signatures etc.

Can anyone please help.
