Operating System
MS XP- Professional Version 5.1
MS- Office 2002 (Issue
10.2627.2625)
I am a user of Microsoft OUTLOOK and use the TASKS
function for tracking correspondence and actions.
I am in a small private business office with several
colleagues networked through a dedicated server on a LAN.
QUESTION 1 - Is it possible to set up MS OUTLOOK on one
PC or onto the server so that other LAN users can access
the same TASK listing and can add or delete information?
QUESTION 2 - Is it possible when exporting Tasks to
another file (say as a backup) to preserve the start &
stop dates, master categories and text formatting?
(Currently, all these are lost. The start & stop dates
show as NONE. The Master Categories goes to Outlook
default and the text formatting is lost and defaults to
Courier New. All very frustrating. Also, the contents of
some Tasks do not copy at all. Not satisfactory in a
backup copy.)
I did work out a way to transfer the Master Categories
from (say) my PC to another by copying the REGEDIT to a
Word Document, saving the document, transferring it to
the other PC, opening the document and copying the text
string to the clipboard them pasting it in the REGEDIT on
the new PC but, that doesn't fix the dates problem and
the text formatting.
