When I click on send/receive nothing happens. If I go to yahoo it shows I
have 61 messages in my inbox. What could my problem be?

Who knows? You haven't given much detail. What type of account? How is it
configured? Are you trying to use a free yahoo.com account?

Is this a new setup or have you gotten mail on it before
and now it stopped? Do you get any errors? If so, please
write it down and share it here. This will help us diagnose
what may be the problem.

Sorry for the lack of info. I have been using this account for over a year,
with no problems. This problem started about two weeks ago after I created a
new USERID on my system, and then removed it. I'm not sure it that was the
cause, but the problem occurred right after that. I called my internet
provider (SBC ) and they were able to create an outlook connection to my
email address which worked with no problem. They suggested that I uninstall
Outlook, and reinstall it. I went to "Add or Remove Programs", and didn't
see a way to remove Outlook.

I am not familiar with SBC but you may want to try calling
them again and perhaps having your issue excalated up the
chain a bit.

I do know that I use COX as my internet provider and for me to
be able to use a "different" email account (not cox but gmail) I still
need to go through the COX system.

This is done by setting my Outlook account to use my email server
(gmail) for incoming and my internet server (COX) for outgoing.

Example below:

Server Information:
Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.gmail.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.cox.net
