I was able to click on a web link in an email and IE would automatically
start and open the linked web page. Today when I clicked on a link an empty
IE window opened and a I was asked to provide a path to a link browser. Now
when I click on a link in a message an empty IE window opens along with the
IE window with the proper web page. Anyone have an idea how to fix this
problem?

Thanks,
Cliff

Browse to the folder for your browser and locate the executable. Double
click on it and the prompts should go away.

Milly,

Amazing! I really had my doubts as to how your procedure could possibly
solve the problem. It defies logic, but it worked.

Thanks,
Cliff

I spoke too soon. The problem was not solved by the procedure, but I
beleive I traced the problem to Road Runner Medic program. RR Medic
automatically loads a component (tgcmd.exe) during startup that apparently
causes the problem.

Thanks from me as well, Milly. I had this same problem
develop in the last week. No idea what could have caused
it. However, now I get two windows. I get the blank one
behind the active window based on the passed link. It is
easy enough to close the blank window, but it would be
less annoying if it did not show up at all! :-) Any idea
what is going wrong?

Thanks,

Lew
