Outlook 2002 just quits

Working fine for a long time. Suddenly this happens.
Start Outlook 2002, the banner page opens then for an
instant I can see my folders then Outlook shuts down.

Restart, disk re-org, windows registery check, scanpst.exe
the mailboxes, rename outcmd.dat, virus checkers !
Nothing improves the problem .

Any ideas.

Have you tried starting Outlook in its safe mode ("outlook.exe /safe")?
That will NOT load any plug-ins that have been installed into Outlook
(Tools -> Options -> Other -> Advanced -> COM plug-ins and Add-ins).

Could also be your toolbar and other settings file has gotten corrupted.
Rename outcmd.dat to outcmd.old and restart Outlook which will recreated
the outcmd.dat file using the defaults. You will need to re-customize
your toolbars and maybe your views.
 
Hi,
I have this problem as well. I have tried the suggestion
below....but no luck. Any ideas? I think it started to go
wrong when i tried to add an as400 mail account.

Instead of trying to hijack Bill's thread, start your own thread to post
your own similar problem but which may incur different solutions that
what works for Bill.
