outlook 2002 it takes a while for email to open up!

i am trying to open an e-mail in my inbox , i check my
email with preview pan and when i try to go to next email
hour glass comes up and it takes a while for an e-mail to
open up. e-mail does not have any attachment at all.
need help to trouble shoot this problem so far i
uninstall and reinstall oulook, i tried office update and
service pack and also delet *.ost file and recreated even
disabled the preview pan but none of this worked .
