Oh boy, I do hope this desperate message gets read. Please help!

My Outlook 2002 keeps on freezing. All I need to do is open it up, an
click on a message or two. I have tried everything I know. I have
- disabled Word as my editor,
- run an antivirus check
- run Ad-aware
- updated Outlook to the latest patch etc
- changed the security level to the lowest, allowing all scripts etc
- I even ran a utility to fix the outlook inbox (SCANPST.EXE)
- I have also done a repair from within the Add/remove programs
- And yes, I have uninstalled and reinstalled Office XP completely!

I know Outlook sucks, and I know I have other options. . . but I nee
to access my emails in Outlook, along with my calendar and notes et
etc, which I use very regularly; and keep it synced with my Palm.

Please suggest how I can resolve this!

Thanks...

PS: I so hope that I do not have to reformat and reinstall my laptop!
PS: I use a Toshiba Satellite, Pentium 4, 1 GB RAM, 60 GB HDD, 2.8 mhz
with Windows XP Professional SP1

Do you use a network printer? If so then you can try
making SOMETHING ELSE the default printer (such as FAX or
Adobe PDF writer if you have it). A 'feature' of the
200x Word/Outlook product appears to be that they will
automattically search for the network printer when you
open the product even though you did not open the print
dialogue and say 'print'. When it can't find the network
printer it burps and puts out an error message.

You can also try turning off the 'search for network
files and printers' action, but this did not work for
me. I still needed to change the default printer to
eliminate the issue.
