Outlook 2002 fails to add personal store to this session

I am trying to download some information into Outlook 2002. Each attempt
fails with the error message "2010103803 (88304005) - Outlook failed to add
the personal store to this session. Is there a solution please?

So is it a secret or are you going to divulge just exactly what you are
trying to do and just exactly how you are attempting to do it? Even you
can see your statement is way too vague for anyone else to understand
what you want and what you did.

Does that mean you are importing? Or you are retrieving e-mails (though
I've not seen an error code like you describe)? Or you are using some
sync software between a device and Outlook to transfer data? Or you are
using the File -> Open window to open an old .pst file?

If you are trying to open a .pst file (a message store) in Outlook, what
version of Outlook created that .pst file? Outlook 2002 only
understands the older ANSI format for that file. Outlook 2003 can
create message stores using the newer Unicode format. If Unicode format
was used to structure the data inside the .pst file then Outlook 2002
won't be able to read it.
