outlook 2002 cannot send email (Comcast broadband) isp

I cannot send email using Outlook 2002, but can receive emails. My ISP is
Comcast (broadband).

I did not have this problem till few days back. Comcast support tried to
troubleshoot it, but failed. Ultimately they said that it is not their policy
to support Outlook.

Has anyone else experienced the same problem.

p.s. I tried to post earlier, but it did not show up. So I am posting again.
