Problem: Running xp and Outlook 2002 I can't copy older
email files to a CD and then open, -- "permission denied".

Background: Two years ago I ran a business in Germany.
This computer was Windows 2000 and Outlook 2000 on a net
work. Now back in the states and upgraded to xp and
Outlook 2002 I want to copy older emails to CD and run on
my laptop, also with xp and Outlook 2002. I have
thousands of valuable older emails. I can copy the files
to a CD, but cannot open them. When I copied the files I
setup the CD to be shared, but can't open it.

What can I do?

If you're talking about .PST files, they can't be used from CD -- you have
to copy them back to your hard drive and remove the read-only attribute
before Outlook will open them.
