This Win/98 PC was connected to a college network.

Now it is home and I cannot change Accounts (Tools /
Options / Accounts). When clicking on Accounts to change
email parameters, OutLook stares back at me and fails to
launch the Account maintenance dialogue boxes. There are
no error messages. Just a simple refusal to work.

Any ideas.

Many thanks!

Try via Control panel. This assumes Outlook 2000 is in IMO mode. If it was
in CW mode then, from within Outlook, accounts would be accessed via Tools |
Services.

Set Up an Internet Mail Account
To set up your Internet mail account, follow these steps:
1.. Click Start and point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2.. Double-click the Mail icon.
3.. In Internet Accounts, click Add.
4.. Type your display name and click Next.
5.. Type your e-mail address as in the example and then click Next.
6.. Type the mail server names (get this information from your Internet
Service Provider), and click Next.
7.. Type your e-mail account name and password if required, and then click
Next.
8.. Type a name for your Internet account. Click Next.
9.. Click to select the connection type and click Next. Click Finish.
10.. Close the Mail control panel and close the Windows Control Panel.

Many thanks! I'll give it a try this evening.
