Hi, there.

I just upgraded to XP (and loaded Office 2000), but I can no longer find the
checkbox for "Send Immediately" within Outlook 2000 tools. Actually, I'm
wanting to un-check it so that outgoing e-mail sits in the Outbox until I
click Send/Receive.

Any suggestions?

i'm also running OL2k on WinXP SP1.

in OL2K

TOOLS:OPTIONS:MAIL DELIVERY:SEND MESSAGES IMMEDIATELY WHEN CONNECTED.

it should be there. can't imagine why a change to XP would alter
that.

Rich: Thanks for your reply. In the thread you provided, TOOLS:OPTIONS:MAIL
DELIVERY: -- I don't have a "Mail Delivery" tab...just "Mail Services", "Mail
Format" and "Internet E-mail" and no where within those tabs is there a
place for "Mail Delivery".

Hmmm...

Alan,

I have EXACTLY the same problem, using Outlook 2000 and XP.

I also have a second computer - Outlook 2000 and Windows 98 and everything
is OK. So I have no idea why it should be different in XP.

I read something on the Microsoft Knowledge Base that this feature was only
available only if "you have installed Outlook with the Internet Mail Only
(IMO) option. I uninstalled Outlook and reinstalled it but it just installs,
without giving the chance to select options. So I am also confused over that
one.

Here are a couple of Microsoft Article IDs which I printed out, but I still
can't get it to work: ID Nos 258327, 241576, 195787.

It would be great if anyone could help. I have been trying to fix this for
last 3 weeks.

You should also have the choice on the Tools>Options>Mail Setup tab. Look
at the lower right.
