I have an application that I want to be able to access outlooks contacts.
Every time the application tries to access this, I'm prompted with:

A program is trying to access your Address Book. Deny or allow for X
minutes. I want to disable this prompting for this particular program. If
that's not possible then I need to shut this off. Can this be done?
Thanks!

thanks, i read this over but it's truly geared toward developers. as i'm
not a developer i couldn't find much use here.
is there a simple way to just disable this? regkey or option or something?
my bluetooth based phone app (FMA) syncs with
outlook everytime the phone nears the computer. i want this to happen, but
i'm prompted each time i walk away with
my phone and come back. very annoying :).

Unless you're the application developer or the administrator in an Exchange
Server environment, you can't change the behavior. The Express ClickYes
program discussed on the page I suggested can automatically click the
dialogs for you, but that leaves your system open to attack by malicious
programs that also want access to your data.

No only is there no simple way, there is no way at all.

You need to update your sync program. Many vendors whose applications
integrate with Outlook have issued updates just for this purpose.

thanks. ill try the autoclick applet. my software is running the latest
and greatest from sourceforge. i'll make a request to the author.

Yes, I get this stupid prompt now every time I try to
start a "new" message, and there's no reason for it as its
a fresh install of Win & Office on a new HD & I've
thoroughly scanned for all viruses, worms, and there's
nothing to compromise security.

So Microsoft needs a way to either disable this (in an
Outlook/Exchange environment) or remove the so-called
security feature. Right now, the patch CANNOT be removed
without completely removing Office itself & starting over.

Often caused by Adobe's PDFMaker add-in. DO you have Acrobat installed?

maybe your synch program is triggering
this so-called "security" violation - but then again, even
WORD will! Good luck.

Word, by itself won't. If you have any add-ins to Word, the add-in may.
