Outlook 2000: "pause" in a phone number

Can some kind soul tell me how to program a phone number in Outlook
2000 so that there is a pause - while the dialed number answers -
followed by the transmission of an *, followed by the transmission of
another phone number, followed by another pause, followed by the
transmission of a password, maybe followed by #.

The * and the # I can figure out myself - at least I think it's
obvious - but what character or letter do I insert for the pause?

Many thanks,
Gerry

By the way, I did a search of the Help file, used the Microsoft
website search function, and did a search on Google groups, but with
no answer. Probably used the wrong search terms.

Most modems now use the AT command set and a pause in that set is the comma.
Try that. Also, the "W" is "wait for dialtone", "@" is "wait for silence"
