Hi there,

On Outlook 2000 my Contacts are selected as the Outlook address book and
there are e-mail addresses in the contact.

However, when I go to write an e-mail, while clicking on the "To" button
brings up the contact name, the e-mail address is blank.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

- Earl

I should also point out the while the e-mail addresses are shown in the
contacts, they're also not there under Tools -> Address Book.

Hi Russ,

Internet Mail Only.

SP3

The contacts have been added in over time just as new contacts.

I should have pointed out that this has been working ok up until now.

- Earl

Then clarify what you mean. This version should display the familiar name,
not the email address.

I think what Earl may be missing is that the email address is actually
hidden. You see the name which is underlined. I have assumed that is the
'hidden' email address.

It is the display name. And in IMO the display name will be the familiar
name. IMO is the only version which does not permit the end user to modify
the display name to show the actual email address if they want.

Thank for the help guys.

When I right click the name added by clicking the "To:" button and select
properties, there's no e-mail address listed.

What's more, I can send e-mails directly from the Contacts list as there is
no e-mail associated with the contact!

What I have to do is go into the Contact, copy the e-mail address from the
contact, then paste it into the "To:" line.

- Earl
