Outlook has stopped adding people to address book. I am
able to go through the steps of adding a new contact, but
nothing happens after I save and if I try using the right
clicking on a new email address I have typed in vs.
selecting someone from the list of contacts, I try to save
and I get the following message box for Microsoft Outlook
with the yellow exclamation point stating: "The messaging
interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem
persists, restart Outlook." and the only option I have at
that point to is click on the "Ok" box and this error
message box closes. Restarting Outlook does not help. We
have reinstalled the Office 2000 Premium software, but it
did not seem to help. We have 2 pcs networked together,
but one is still able to create groups and add people to
address book while the other is having issues with not
allowing to add people to address book, nor allowing to
create groups. Perhaps Outlook has a limit on the size of
this file and we're maxed on it?????? Please advise if
possible.

I assume you're using Personal Folders Files (.PSTs)? If so, how large are
the .PST files in question? Also, how many items are in the Contacts folder
that's having problems?
