Outlook 2000 need to de-Exchange-mode

I have a few clients that have been using Exchange with Outlook 2000
for years. I now need them to use IMAP, but when Outlook is installed
originally you have the option to use it in Internet Only mode or
Workgroup mode. These clients have installed workgroup settings.
Since IMAP is not available in this mode, and their exchange server
will be leaving shortly, I need to migrate them out of the mode they
are in.

Does anyone have a suggestion to do this? Upon reinstallation of
Outlook we are no longer given the option, and I can find no options
for this in settings. Is there something in registry I can do?

I've been banging my head on this a few days and could use a pointer,
link, or advice.

thanks so much,

You can change modes within Outlook itself if you have the installation CD
handy. Tools, Options - I forget which tab, but there's a "Reconfigure Mail
Support" button.

Just wondering why Exchange is leaving?

The company I work for aquired their company and we run Postfix/LDAP
configs not exchange. Thanks for the tip, I'll have to see if I can
dig up a disc in the office. Most of us are deployed linux machines
so my experience in windows wanes by the year.
