Every time I start Outlook I get a message about macros, then I get an error
"Unknown Error 0x9...... Internal Application Error". The program still runs
and seems to be fine. What gives?

sorry, nancy, don't know that error code. i've done some on-line
digging and can't find any reference to that error code.

http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2000.htm

that website can be very helpful in tracking down problems. one of
the links there will point you to the MS support area for OL2000
problems.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;out2K

there are a lot of references there to unknown application errors but
none with that code. what is the exact wording that pops up about the
macros?

"Some files added to Outlook contain macros. Be sure to click Enable Macros
when prompted to ensure that Customer Manager functions correctly."

Today the error code is 0x9077010B

do you have any add-ins to outlook? have you added any 3rd party
software to outlook lately?

The problem seems to be related to Norton Internet Security. I finally got
it installed correctly and the problem has gone away.
