I am having trouble deleteing a message in Outlook 2000.
The message is pending in the outbox, and will not be
deleted.

The message has an attachment, and the address is
incorrect. When I try to delete or move to the deleted
folder, nothing happens. If I try to open the message, I
get an error message saying the MAPI-spooler has already
started the transfer of the message. (The message will
print)

This message is blocking the send/receive function, and I
am unable to use Outlook. I have tried to uninstall
Outlook, but the message reappears after reinstalling.

Please help, any suggestions are welcome.

Thank you

I am also having this exact problem, except with Outlook
2003. There has to be a solution to this seemingly simple
problem.

If on a LAN line, configure Outlook to a manual connection, disconnect
the network cable, restart the computer. Open Outlook, delete the
message, reconfigure Outlook to LAN connection, exit Outlook, plug the
network cable back in and restart the computer.

If on a dial-up configure Outlook to a manual connection, close and
reopen Outlook, delete the message, reconfigure Outlook back to
send/receive on open, then close and reopen Outlook.

I had a similar problem as well in the inbox for 2003. I couldn't delete
the header because it says I have to download it from the server but the
server didn't have it anymore!

I then went to Tools/send and receive/process all marked headers and the
headers finally disappeared from my Inbox.
