I can open it, but when I try to open a message or create new one... program
hangs.

YUK. I've tried a program that worked in the past - but doesn't now for
some reason...

(Oooops - don't have CD!)

Any advice on what I can try?

Thanks,

Sherry

You can try a detect and repair (Help menu) but I'm not sure it'll work
for you without the CD. Have you tried running SCANPST.EXE against your
PST file?

Ben - Thank you VERY much! (Detect & Repair doesn't work w/out CD, btw)
BUT, I ran the scanpst.exe & that seems to have fixed problem!!

Just hope it lasts...

Could you please tell me how to run ScANPST.EXE to help me with my
inability to launch outlook?

Search your HD for SCANPST.EXE (usually in
%CommonProgramFiles%\System\MSMAPI\1033 for English WIndows) and run it. It
will open a browse dialogue box so you can locate your PST.
