Outlook 2000 Corporate/Workgroup error

I am receiving the error Internet email service is not
properly installed. Please re-install outlook and specify
the "Corporate or Workgroup" email service". I receive
this error when Outlook opens. I cannot receive or send
mail. I think this occurred when I was attempting to
install some software and a file may have gotten
overwritten. I do not need to have it set up for corporate
or workgroups any longer. Anyone have any ideas?
 
In what mail support mode is Outlook currently installed? Did you ever
change mail support modes?
Have you tried simply deleting your mail account and recreating it? It may
be corrupt.
