Howdy all...

I had archived a mess of emails to a temporary Archive folder prior to buring the archived emails to a CD.

Then I deleted the original email folder, THEN I deleted the archive folder on the HD (not the archive folder within Outlook itself)

NOW, Outlook keeps looking for the deleted temporary archive folder on C:/... and keeps giving me errors (nothing serious)

Cool...so I figure, lets just delete the Outlook Archive folder (it was created JUST for the one email folder...nothing else is in this particular Archive folder) ...Nope...Outlook won't let me do it...keeps telling me it can't find the one on C://....I don't care....I don't even get a Delete option.

Suggestions?

Use Control Panel's Mail applet to remove the PST from your profile.

Brian, ya lost me on this one. In Control Panel Mail...it's just setups for my various mail accounts. What am I missing?

If you see no profile, then you're probably running in Internet Mode Only.
I don't have access to a machine configured that way, so can't tell you what
to click to locate the service to remove. Sorry.

the answer turned out to be...selecting "Close" when the Archive Folder was displayed...that made it disappear. The "Close" I'm talking about looked like a network connection image - I'd never seen that before. Anyway the Archive is now gone.

thanks,

R.
