Hello all,

I have been using Outlook 2000 for a couple of years and I am at the
stage now when I backup (export to a .pst file) that the file is
larger than a 700mb CD which I copy the backup to. How can I break up
the data in to smaller amounts so that I can copy the data to two CDs
or more?

Thankyou
Anton

Hi Anton,
you can use Winrar or Winzip,
there you have the chance to split the big File into many smaller files

Thanks Andreas,
But is there any way of doing this from Outlook?
For example, is there some way of creating smaller .pst files in
Outlook?

See Help
or select properties for eg inbox, then archive tab
The archive option moves mail with a *modified* date, that you set, to a
seperate archive pst.
Individual folders can be set to different modified dates, you can have
multiple archives.
eg archive2003.pst archive2004.pst etc
NB moving a mail, within your folder group amends the modified date.
After archiveing compact your main pst

Much appreciated!
